Bissell Smart Details Microfiber High Reach Duster

... extends reach TO 14' NOT BY 14'4

got this today to tackle the cobwebs at high ceiling joints and ledges (we have a contemporary home with some very high ceiling peaks) - I like it EXCEPT it is not as long as I was expecting and as a result doesn't reach where I need it to without a small ladder (which is what I was hoping to avoid)...I didn't read carefully and I thought it extended 14' however it claims to extend "your reach" to 14' - it is approx. 7' and a few inches - FYI; other than its height deficit it is a great toolMore detail ...

Swiffer Dusters Starter Pack. 1 handle 20 disposable dusters.

Swiffer Picks Up Dust and Locks It In5

Dust is a big problem for me because it triggers my allergies. I try to keep my environment as dust-free as possible by running an air filter 24/7 and by dusting frequently with a Swiffer duster.

- The Swiffer Duster Works

Traditional dusters and dusting cloths oftentimes just push dust around especially on surfaces where there's a heavy buildup of dust. Not the Swiffer. The Swiffer picks up dust so well that it requires just one or two passes to get any dusty surface completely free of dust. Once the dust is locked in the Swiffer it stays locked in so it won't get released back in the air.

The flexibility and fluffiness of the Swiffer allow you to easily get around office equipment kitchen appliances and other objects into all the nooks and crannies. It really makes light work of dusting tabletops window ledges window blinds and other surfaces.

- How It Works

Each Swiffer duster comes out of the box looking more like a pad. It needs to be pre-fluffed before use. To fluff grab both ends of the pad with the dusting surface up. Do not stretch it taut; leave some slack in the middle. Next shake the duster vigorously by moving both hands in a see-saw motion. Now your duster is all fluffed up and ready for use!

- Why It Works

A newly fluffed up duster resembles cotton candy. The airy mass of material is made up of a lattice-like network of countless frizzy strands of microfibers that are responsible for trapping the dust they pick up. These microfibers are also electrostatically charged to attract dust.

-- Comparisons --

> Swiffer vs. Traditional Duster

A traditional duster does not pick up dust as well as the Swiffer and some of what it picks up oftentimes get released back in the air! The Swiffer readily picks up dust in one or two passes. Once dust is locked in the Swiffer it stays locked in.

> Swiffer vs. Microfiber Cloth

A microfiber cloth picks up dust very well but its surface quickly gets saturated with dust and it quickly loses it's effectiveness. The Swiffer on the other hand can pick up and lock in a lot more dust before it needs to be replaced.

> Swiffer vs. Chemically Treated Cloth

The chemically treated dusting cloths often leave streaks on glass and other smooth surfaces. Not the Swiffer. Since the Swiffer works by using electrostatically-charged fibers it won't leave streaks behind.

---

Of all the different types of dusting products I've tried Swiffer works the best. I love how readily it picks up dust and as someone with severe allergies I can certainly appreciate the Swiffer duster's ability to lock the dust in to prevent it from being released back into the air. 5 stars!

Swiffer Dusters Refills 10-Count Boxes (Pack of 3)

...and I do approve this message...5

As of the time I am writing this this three pack set of Swiffer duster refills is more economical than buying three single boxes of refills on Amazon; and the duster refills never become so old that they "expire!" These fit easily onto the Swiffer duster handle and they really do an excellent job of trapping dust hair or even small particles of food in hard to reach places. I am simply amazed that these dusters do so much more than just move the dust around--these things actually pick up the dust hair and more and make `em stick to the duster like anything! This helps a lot when you can't vacuum certain places.

While you can use these duster refills to dust you can also use them to clean record albums. I am a huge music enthusiast and Swiffer dusters help tremendously when I need to clean the dust and light dirt residue off a vinyl record album. You can use the duster again and again on quite a few record albums before they begin to discolor; when the duster turns from a light blue to a light grey it's safe to assume that you need to switch to a new duster.

You can also just use the duster without its handle. The duster refill fits easily in your hand without its handle; and this can be useful when you're dusting off a low coffee table or an end table that has a book on it; indeed the duster refill can often work well alone without its handle when cleaning other surfaces. However I wouldn't use this with cleansers such as Windex. For example when cleaning a mirror with glass cleaner you might prefer to use something else like a soft absorbent yet inexpensive washcloth or perhaps a soft paper towel.

I highly recommend the Swiffer duster refill packages for dusting around the house and other jobs--including what may be lesser known uses like cleaning old vinyl record albums. You can't go wrong!

Clorox 1 fresh scent 2 lemon fresh1 orange scent kills cold & Flu viruses 78 wipes ea 7"x8" (17 cmx20cm) 1 lb7.3 oz (660g) total 312 wipes (5.13.2 lb (2.6kg)

Great product annoying dispenser4

I've been purchasing this product for years but only since last Nov from Amazon (best price around!). This product along with microfibre towels have completely eliminated all other cleaning products from my home. I trust the Clorox name and find new uses for these towelettes all the time.

Use in the bathroom and kitchen is a no brainer - from countertops tables sinks ranges frig/freezer to spills on the floor rain/mud spatters from the dogs coming in from the rain/snow. I even use them as hand sanitizers when in a hurry (or lazy) and don't want to hike to the bathroom for the hand sanitizer. I especially like them for the glass shower doors - wet enough to wash the doors well and then use microfiber towel (with NO elbow grease) and they sparkle like new. While they aren't great on mirrors (they do streak) I've used them for that also and then just microfibered the mirror dry. No streaks or that fogging appearance.

I agree that the dispenser is well to be nice I'll use the term 'annoying'. The first several (with me it is more like 6-10) wasted wipes just trying to separate the first one from the center of the roll. In transit they flop into one another and finding that first crucial wipe to pull through the 'saloon door' type dispenser clips can take about 10 minutes if you are patient. I'm not. When I want a wipe I want a wipe. So off comes the lid I insert a pencil (eraser side first) hope I'm in the exact center press the eraser against the wipe and press/pull upward. It does work but I don't always get the very center of the roll the first time around. Once THAT chore is done the saloon door type clips NEVER stay together. One side is always dipping into the canister so getting just one wipe often takes 2 hands - I've wasted so much time playing around trying to keep the two saloon doors closed so the wipe pulls through their center just one at a time...no more. If I get more than one wipe I just stuff it back inside to be used later.

All in all I like this product and will continue using it regardless of the crazy dispenser. It is the product I want not the container. To be fair I've used an assortment of baby wipes in the past that have ridiculous dispensers also - havent' found one yet that dispenses just one at a time unless it is the refill where I must lift the label/tab off the opening and then reseal it. And even that takes two hands.

The clorox wipes are wet enough to do the job; any job and don't drip or dibble until perhaps the last 3-4 in the canister that are a bit too wet but after using this product for a while I'm used to that. When I get to the bottom and use the last few wipes I simply open another canister and pour the extra cleaning solution into the new canister. Figure it can't hurt anything. I use these for cleaning the car the tires the wheels dash a/c vents etc. I also use them for cleaning all my dog crates (12 humongous crates throughout the house as I foster dogs until they find homes and own 7 of my own-all Greyhounds). I used to use a brush and dustpan to first clean up the crate-laden sand dirt and grit then spray cleaners with sponges towels etc. Now I remove the bedding for the laundry crawl into the crate with 2-3 wipes and in less than 2 minutes the entire crate is clean sanitized and smells nice all ready for the clean bedding. Makes my life sooo much easier.

The product is great; the price here is wonderful esp. at Prime. I've never had a ill-packaged delivery and I keep coming back for more. If you can ignore the challenges of the dispenser and just go for the wipes every time I think you'll be very pleased.

ps-the canisters when empty are a perfect fit on my frig door. I use a pair of scissors and cut the top 1/4 of the canister off (just making it a teesy bit shorter). What do I use it for? Holds the baking soda box and keeps it from spilling all over the place for one. BUT my best use is the almost empty salad dressing ketchup and mustard bottles - put this 'tailored' canister on the frig door turn the almost-empty bottle upsidedown and place in the canister. VOILA! Beats tapping and pounding the bottom of the bottle to get the last inch or so out without waste. If something drips easy to wash out.

Gardus RLE202 LintEater Dryer Vent Cleaning System

Worked very well5

We have a 15' long vent that needed cleaning and in short this system worked very well! Just a couple notes: 1) follow the directions! The instructions tell you not to add the next rod until the prior rod is 2/3s of the way into the vent. It might look easier to try to connect 2 or 3 rods to your drill and then attempt to feed the whole thing into the vent but that does not work! The rods are so flexible that the torque from the drill will start spinning them around like a jump rope! Just follow the directions and it works as the vendor promises. 2) The adapter for the vacuum is to fit a shop vac. So if you don't have one you'll have to use a regular vacuum. But it won't easily fit the adapter so you may need to use a bit of 2" wide tape to connect it to the end of the vent. Perfectly easy to do but an extra step. 3) Finally our package came with a short DVD that futher illusrtated how to do the job. Very nice touch.

In summary: Good system that worked as the ad said it would. Took me about 60 mins from when I started the job to having completed the job with everything cleaned up and the dryer back in working order.More detail ...
